Fabrizio Casadei, General Manager and Chief Technical Officer, Ecor International and CEO, Il Sentiero International Campus, gave an interview during the tv programme Pole Position- Stories of excellence of the long-standing enterprises in Italy and in the world. The programme dedicated to companies and entrepreneurs is aired every Wednesday at 8.40 p.m. on Sky channel 824, on national digital terrestrial channel 410 and on Tivùsat channel 422.
The interview, conducted by Denny Mendez, was an opportunity to review the most significant stages in the history of the Ecor International Group.
Founded in 1976 by Sergio Lucietto as a stainless steel trading business, Ecor originated as an acronym of the words ‘Ecology‘ and ‘Research‘.
Within a few years, the volume of business increases and when an international multinational is looking for an Italian partner to create a new supply network, the entrepreneur steps forward and invests everything in this great opportunity.
Ecor thus became a strategic supplier to an international company specialising in the manufacture of critical components for automatic food processing and packaging machines. It experienced not only economic but also cultural growth, transforming itself over time into a high-tech manufacturing company.
Growth continued and in 2010 the company diversified its business by opening up to new sectors such as Pharmaceuticals and Advanced Mechanics, and Aeronautics and Aerospace.
The Lucietto family’s entrepreneurial vision, unlike other local companies, has always considered research activities as an essential strategic asset.
Constant investment in technology and R&D led to the founding in 2017 of Il Sentiero International Campus, an Industrial Research Centre with specialised skills in Jointing Technologies, Rapid Design and Prototyping and Reliability Engineering, Surface Engineering and Additive Manufacturing (3D printing).
