Last November Ecor Research took part to the “Medica 2014 – World Forum for Medicine” event, held in Düsseldorf, west Germany.
This international fair is attended by companies from all over the world which produce Public or Private Health Service technology and products for the treatment of different diseases.
It featured exhibitors that deal in healthcare support services and products such as product sanitization systems, hospital furnishings, hospital catering, medicine and medical products storage cabinets.
Medica 2014 represented an important opportunity to interact and liaise with companies that present products to doctors and professionals.
This isn’t the first time Ecor Research promotes its products to the medical sector. As a matter of fact, our Team of engineers has been designing and developing components for some years now, in line with a strategy of market diversification.
In particular, we have already developed welding processes for hip prosthesis made from titanium alloy and shape memory materials (a type of metal alloy) for a well-known company which makes orthopaedic prosthesis. Another experience led us to completely develop a linear accelerator, that is a cancer treatment machine used during operations in the operating room. Moreover, thanks to our know-how in the washing and sanitization processes, we are giving support to companies that produce equipment for the washing, sanitization and disinfection of products such as endoscopes and surgical instruments.
Still, are but a few of the ongoing projects. In the light of our core competences in the welding process, we aim to supply the medical sector with critical components and the development of new products.
