Space Meetings Veneto

For its inaugural edition, Space Meetings Veneto will focus on 4 major topics: Investing in space and aeronautics, Space Suppliers Summit, Space applications for wine and climate monitoring and Innovative technologies for viticulture.

Space Meetings Veneto will gather professionals from SMEs, multinational organizations, governments, space corporations, space agencies, academicians and space technology providers.

The event is the result of the commitment of the Veneto Region and the Regional Innovative Network AIR – Aerospace Innovation and Research, which have mapped and connected all the excellences in the area to build a true ‘ecosystem’ that involves public bodies, universities, research centres and companies and that has made Veneto one of the main regions in Italy in the aerospace sector, which moves around one and a half billion in turnover and employs more than 5,000 people in 260 companies. “International events of this kind, organised here in Veneto, enhance the significant results achieved by the realities present in our region. They are also important as an opportunity to network among the excellences of the Italian aerospace supply chain” comments Giulio Roana, Aerospace Business Manager, Ecor International.

Space Meetings Veneto will be a three-day event dedicated to different topics: the opening day on 15th May will be held at the Fondazione Cini, on the Island of San Giorgio Maggiore, and will focus on the Investment Forum for Space& Aeronautics, with a moment of discussion to explore the market and investment opportunities that favour the development of the aeronautics and space sectors.
On 16th and 17th May, the event will move to the VTP – Venezia Terminal Passeggeri to focus on the Space Suppliers Summit, a series of panels and speeches dedicated to the space industry supply chain and the satellite sector supply chains that features a high-level conference, a showcase, technical workshops, and pre-arranged one-to-one meetings.

The numbers of the Space Economy at global level make it clear that it is an increasingly strategic sector: 50 billion dollars of investment, expected to become almost a trillion in the next few years, 130 government agencies, 150 research and development centres and 10 thousand companies involved.
