Starting from today the company changes its name entering the market as Ecor International and taking into account a future in which industrial applied research will be more and more strategic.
On 14 June, in fact, the opening ceremony of the new sign, on which the renewed logo has been drawn for the first time, has taken place. The writing changes from “Ecor Research” to “Ecor International”, maintaining the lion pictogram that has distinguished the company for years. This change indicates an upcoming novelty, that concerns the transformation of the Division Research and Development “Ecor Campus” into an independent company: it will focus on the applied research, leaving productive activities to Ecor International.
The logo, made of dark grey aluminum, has been located on a low wall of red bricks, which recall materials and architecture of the main factory front. This sign, which has been collocated into a new flowerbed next to the road to make it more noticeable, will be visible also at night thanks to white LED light along it.
Lucietto’s family, the management, the mayor of Schio Valter Orsi and his group of representatives as well as the company staff members have attended the ceremony.
After the tricolored ribbon cutting by the mayor and the blue drape uncovering, authorities have intervened.
“The company, from the year 2009 when it parted with the division Ecor Acciai Inossidabili, has grown constantly and has entered the new markets of Aerospace and Defense, Advanced Mechanics and Industrial Research – has explained the president Sergio Lucietto -. I thank the mayor for being here and the staff members, who are the leading actors of this new adventure”.
Then, Fabrizio Casadei has reminded that research is one of the company strategic asset, which will be increasingly important to maintain the competitiveness in the market.
“Our business model is completely new and based on the applied research – has told the General Manager – this means that we develop new products with the main customers and subsequently we produce prototypes, we test them by means of our testbeds and finally we produce them in our production sites. The objective is the exportation of this model made of territorial values: executive capability, organizational know-how and determination to reach objectives with sacrifice”.
At the end, also the mayor of Schio Valter Orsi has spoken, explaining that the current industrial area of Schio is the result of a growth started in 70’, which has led up to an evolution from the textile district to the mechanics and mechatronics ones.
“Today companies located in this territory as Ecor have understood that they don’t have to play defense but go beyond, focusing on people’s value and territory – has clarified the mayor – I think that in this beautiful group of collaborators there is the future, and the municipal administration is proud of hosting the excellence of our community. The romantic vision of the entrepreneur not only interested in business, but also in the place where he lives and in his social responsibility is coming back: everyone should do something according to his possibilities.”
Finally, the buffet and the cutting of the cake by some trusty company collaborators have concluded the event.
