Ecor International and CFP Salesiani, an alliance for the future

The company, along with EiQ Industrial and Tesy4, has provided 14 workbenches and a cupboard for the new laboratories within the project aiming at expanding the school of Schio.

Ecor International has ever been focused on supporting social and cultural initiatives and projects in its territory. Recently, the company has contributed to the project aiming at expanding the Centro di Formazione Professionale Salesiani Don Bosco (Vocational Training Centres) providing equipment for educational activities.

In particular, Ecor International has provided 14 workbenches and a cupboard for the equipment of the new laboratories of the school. Other two companies of the Group have participated with their contribution: EiQ Industrial, manufacturer of electrical panels, and Tesy4, retailer of furniture for contamination-controlled environments.

The equipment has been situated in the new laboratories of the CFP, inaugurated on 18thJanuary, where students can carry out practical activities and acquire new skills very useful in the world of work: home automation laboratory, information technology, agri-food and automation.

These environments increase a training focused on practical activities and divided into three fields of study: agri-food, sale services and electrical areas.

«Our students often suffered defeats in their lives or do not have a significant aptitude for studying books – explains Don Alberto Maschio, director of the institute -. For this reason, we teach the so-called “intelligence of the hands”, in other words professional skills in order to carry out practical activities that are necessary for work, in addition to cultural ones. In my opinion, believing in our guys and giving them confidence is very important because, in this way, they will be aware that with commitment great results can be reached».

The enlargement of the school was necessary because of the inadequate spaces in terms of capacity level and available equipment: 230 students divided into 11 classrooms.

The cost of enlargement works has been 2,5 million euro and this expenditure has been possible thanks to the financing of the German postal service “Deutsche Post Stiftung” in the person of Mr. Klaus Zumwinkel and Don Bosco Mission Bonn. In addition, also local companies such as Ecor International, EiQ Industrial and Tesy4, have given a significant support providing fundamental equipment for educational activities.

«I thank companies that have helped us – adds Don Alberto-. I think that a continuous dialogue with the world of work is pivotal in order to start activities that meet market needs. The training at school, along with the possibility to carry out working experiences in local companies can give students useful competences for a real work».

On its side Umberto Lucietto, CEO and vice president of the company, explains that Ecor International is sure of the importance of these collaborations.

«We are proud of our contribution in this initiative: our family has a strong bond with Salesiani, because my father Sergio Lucietto spent a long time, when he was a child, in the oratory. I think that CFP is a precious resource for our territory because the world of work needs more and more specialized workers. I hope that this collaboration, started several years ago, will go on in future with new initiatives, also in the mechanical and welding sectors».
