In recent years, Ecor International has continued with the industrial strategy oriented towards developing Research activities and diversification in new markets.
It is in this perspective that we consider the first participation of the company in an event exclusively dedicated to the Space Industry: ‘’London Space Week’’ will be held in London on 4th and 5th October.
It is one of the most important B2B events dedicated to the Space Industry, with all its connected applications: launching, satellites and technologies. The trade show aims at providing technological answers to the main players of the sector as project leaders, investors, buyers, space agencies and leading companies that are looking for innovative solutions suitable for their projects.
London Space Week will take place through B2B meetings programmed in advance. This event has reached its third edition and in the last few years 600 experts in the sector have participated, 4.500 meetings and about twenty conferences and workshops have taken place.
Ecor International activities for the Space Industry
For the Space Industry, Ecor International performs manufacturing of critical parts and integrations of fluid circuits for space crafts and orbiting satellites.
Using experience gained, the company is able to produce not only bended hard tubes, but also components welding addressed to sub-systems of fluid circuits. The quality of productive activities is associated with a complete control of the whole production process, as connected phases are carried out internally: from the draft and implementation of the qualification plan, to the final testing of the parts with related technical documentation.
The company is able to guarantee high quality standards not only thanks to its competences in special welding processes and heat treatments, but also by virtue of its qualified personnel and cutting-edge machines.
Between these, we mention the Cleanroom ISO 7 operational, a clean environment where Ecor carries out components welding and integrations of systems aiming at not jeopardizing the cleaning level of components. The cleaning process and its validation in laboratory are internal activities as well.
Lastly, Ecor International performs heat treatments and high-vacuum degassing on protective screens, components and sub-systems of orbiting satellites in order to streamline and improve materials performances.
TO KNOW
- A fluid circuit consists of a series of components (tubes, valves and sensors) through which a particular fluid flows or is stored. In satellites, they can be gas or liquids that guarantee the life on board of astronauts (for example oxygen, nitrogen and water); permit propulsion and handling of satellites or space crafts (as hydrogen); allow heat exchange with the surrounding cosmic environment.
- The Cleanroom ISO 7 operational (white room) is used to perform the so-called ‘’clean’’ operations, in other words welding operations that do not contaminate the critical components that, because of their intended use, are very delicate. In particular, the Cleanroom is a compartmented zone, closed and characterized by a slight outwards overpressure. The air is purified by 0,5 µm filters; moreover, it is distributed with a top-down laminar flow in order to guarantee the absence of particulate pollutant in the room. Only people properly dressed with a specific coverall, hair and shoe covers, have access to it.
