Discovering internationalization

30 Ecor International employees have attended some training courses as part of an EU project. Increasing Venetian companies’ competitiveness reinforcing their solidity both in the national and international market is the purpose.

Internationalization is among strategies Ecor International is firmly implementing: in fact, foreign markets are potential end markets for the company activities, thanks to its competences acquired in more than forties years of activity. The change in name is linked with this strategy and knowing foreign markets understanding their mechanisms is a pivotal aspect.

In this perspective, Ecor International has participated in the project “Internationalization for the future development”, financed by The European Union in the context of the Directive 1284/2016. The initiative aims at promoting Venetian companies internationalization processes for a global development, in order to increase their competitiveness reinforcing their solidity both in the national and international market. Companies of different sectors interested in broadening their activities and international network of contacts promoting “Made in Italy” are involved.

In particular, the project deals with the participation of Ecor International employees in seminars held by international speakers from academic world and business. These seminars will increase participants’ knowledge and expertise giving them all instruments required to draw up successful operative strategies for internationalization.

Other intercompany training activities move in the same direction, 40 hours concerning the drafting of business plans aiming at entering foreign markets, the development of communication and web marketing techniques and instruments, manufacturer’s liability for damages arising from defective products. Lastly, English courses aiming at improving linguistic competences (80 total hours) will allow better reacting to markets globalization needs.

Using English language for one’s work in communications with customers and suppliers, in negotiations and sells with commercial interlocutors and in useful conversations for different internationalization processes is the courses purpose. About 30 employees of several functional areas directly involved in the company strategy of internationalization have participated in the initiative: administration & finance, commercial, communication & marketing, in addition to quality, production and technical area.

Moreover, courses facilitate the development of physical and/or virtual networks: thanks to the intercompany training, employees have had confrontations with other workers receiving useful starting points that will be concretely applicable».
